8th IJEX FAM Programme Gives Indian Exporters Firsthand UAE Market Exposure

The eighth Familiarisation Programme (FAM) at the India Jewellery Exposition Centre (IJEX), Dubai, has commenced, offering Indian jewellery exporters an opportunity to gain practical insights into the UAE’s jewellery market and strengthen their understanding of the region’s business landscape.

Organised under the GJEPC’s flagship Exporter Mentorship Programme (EMP), the initiative aims to help exporters build market-ready strategies through direct exposure to the GCC jewellery trade.

Participants are undertaking curated visits across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Ajman, where they are interacting with key jewellery trading hubs, retail outlets, wholesale markets and industry stakeholders. The programme provides insights into regional consumer preferences, product trends, pricing strategies, merchandising practices and buyer behaviour, enabling exporters to better align their offerings with market demand.

The itinerary also includes an exclusive learning session at the World Academy of Design and a workshop conducted by L’École School of Jewelry Arts. The sessions focus on luxury jewellery design, craftsmanship, storytelling and brand positioning, offering participants a deeper understanding of the premium jewellery segment and the expectations of international buyers.
