While Maria Kotsoni mines the mythos of ancient Cyprus to craft modern-day artefacts in gold, Nelly Rojas draws on Colombian symbolism to create sculptural talismans. Both are adept at showcasing a rare synergy between art, identity, and adornment.
Maria Kotsoni Works Magic With Gold

Based in the Mediterranean heartland of Cyprus, Maria Kotsoni brings a deeply personal and culturally rooted approach to jewellery design. A micro-sculptor and award-winning jewellery artist, Kotsoni has continued to captivate the global design world with her blend of ancient inspiration and contemporary form.

Maria’s work draws heavily from the rich archaeological heritage of Cyprus — a land steeped in ancient mythology and organic beauty. Her collections reflect this reverence, often echoing motifs and textures reminiscent of sacred relics, aged armour, and symbols of protection. Her preferred medium is 18-karat yellow gold, a metal she believes radiates a warm, active, and life-giving energy — one that aligns perfectly with the ethos of her creations.

This year, Maria Kotsoni unveiled new iterations of her celebrated Spike and Intersection collections.
Spiked forms — simultaneously protective and ornamental — were reinterpreted in dramatic silhouettes like the “Spiked Cluster” and “Eleven Spike” designs. Pieces such as the “Spike Array” and “Smiley Spiked Diamond” stood out for their architectural complexity, while the “Fluid Spike” and “Triple Spike” evokedd a quiet, sculptural elegance. Prices ranged from accessible everyday talismans to high-impact statement jewellery in the luxury bracket.

Another highlight is the Three-Pointed Star series — a dynamic motif interpreted across rings, earrings, and pendants — symbolising guidance, balance, and creative force. These starry forms showcase the artist’s ability to distil symbolism into wearable form without losing aesthetic edge.
Nelly Rojas’ Spirited Jewels

Colombian architect-turned-jewellery designer Nelly Rojas introduces an inspired new lineup of fine jewels rooted in sacred symbolism, artisanal precision and emotional depth. The latest collections that are sculptural in form, are underscored with spirituality and architectural finesse.
The new offerings, as seen in standout collections like Royal Bugs, Heart’s Collection, and Kosmos, spotlight her signature fusion of structure and symbolism.

In Royal Bugs, nature’s smallest wonders are elevated into regal, almost surrealist ornaments. Crafted in 18-karat gold and accented with emeralds, sapphires, and diamonds, beetles and butterflies become totems of transformation—imbued with delicate movement and gem-set allure.

In the Heart’s collection Rojas reinterprets the classic heart motif through architectural symmetry and vibrant gemstone accents. Meanwhile, the Kosmos collection draws from celestial patterns and sacred geometry, resulting in statement pieces that appear almost galactic in scale and spirit. Oversized tourmalines, radiant citrines, and inky topaz are framed within sculptural gold settings.

At the core of each creation lies a singular detail: a hidden emerald, Rojas’ symbolic signature and a tribute to Colombia’s heritage. This quiet touch reflects her philosophy—that jewellery should not just adorn, but serve as a personal amulet, charged with meaning and light.
Her collections are not just worn—they are felt.
