The Gem & Jewellery Skill Council of India (GJSCI) signed an MoU with the Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) to introduce targeted training and upskilling programmes across the state. The collaboration covers short-term training, upskilling modules, and Recognition of Prior Learning assessments to help young talent and current workers strengthen their capabilities in the gems and jewellery sector.
The MoU was exchanged in Visakhapatnam on 14 November 2025 by Shri G. Ganesh Kumar, MD & CEO, APSSDC and Shri Rajeev Garg, CEO, GJSCI. Andhra Pradesh is home to established gold and imitation jewellery clusters such as Mangalagiri, and is progressing towards setting up a Jewellery Park.
