India Strengthens Presence at Singapore Jewelry Expo; IIJS Bharat Premiere Campaign Gathers Pace

Ms. Pooja Tillu, Deputy High Commissioner of India to Singapore, visited the India Pavilion at the Singapore International Jewelry Expo (SIJE) 2026, where she interacted with all 11 participating Indian exhibitors.

During her visit, Ms. Tillu discussed the exhibitors’ product offerings and encouraged them to participate regularly in SIJE to strengthen their presence in the Singapore market and the wider ASEAN region.

She also suggested organising a pre-show business meeting ahead of future editions of SIJE. According to her, the initiative would help Indian exhibitors expand their business across Asian markets by leveraging Singapore as a regional hub, while creating opportunities to engage retailers and wholesalers through focused business meetings during the exhibition.

Alongside the exhibition, GJEPC conducted a door-to-door promotional campaign for IIJS Bharat Premiere 2026 in Singapore’s Little India precinct. Invitations to attend the show were personally handed over to jewellery retailers as part of the Council’s efforts to attract more trade buyers from Singapore to India’s flagship B2B jewellery exhibition.

As part of the outreach, P. Anand, Chief Manager, GJEPC, met several leading jewellery retailers including Mustafa Jewellery, Abiraame Jewellers, Haniffa Jewellers, Ishtara Jewellery, as well as India-based GRT Jewellers and Joyalukkas to promote IIJS Bharat Premiere 2026.

Singapore represents an important market for Indian exporters. According to Euromonitor International, Singapore’s retail jewellery market was valued at approximately US$3.01 billion (SGD 3.9 billion) in 2025 and is projected to continue growing through 2030. Singapore also serves as a strategic gateway to the wider ASEAN region, making it an important source of international buyers for IIJS Bharat Premiere.
