IJEX FAM Delegation Gains First-Hand Insight into Middle East Market

The 9th India Jewellery Exposition Centre (IJEX) Familiarisation (FAM) Programme in September 2026 brought together established exporters and next-generation diamond jewellery manufacturers from Surat, Mumbai, Jaipur and Kolkata to explore business opportunities in the UAE and wider Middle East.

The programme began at IJEX Dubai with a masterclass on “Navigating the Middle East Market”, covering regional trade dynamics, market-entry strategies, product positioning and evolving buyer expectations.

A mentorship session led by jewellery industry expert Ashok Satikunver provided practical insights into local market nuances, strategic partnerships and building long-term buyer relationships.

Delegates then undertook market visits to the New Gold Souq Extension, Gold Center Building, African Market and Traditional Gold Souq, gaining first-hand exposure to demand patterns, retail formats, consumer preferences and emerging design trends.

The FAM programme combines market intelligence with on-ground market immersion, helping Indian exporters better understand the GCC market and prepare for potential export opportunities.
