HRD Antwerp Expands Dubai Laboratory

HRD Antwerp has opened a larger office and laboratory at Almas Tower in Jumeirah Lakes Towers, Dubai, increasing its diamond grading capacity in the Middle East by 20%.

The inauguration on 28 October was attended by H.E. Rik Van Droogenbroeck, Ambassador of Belgium to the UAE, and Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Executive Chairman and CEO of DMCC. The ribbon-cutting ceremony also included Paul De Wachter, CEO of HRD Antwerp, and Prakash Patel, Board Member of the Antwerp World Diamond Centre (AWDC).

The development follows DMCC’s recent appointment of HRD Antwerp as its education partner in the UAE. In collaboration with Dubai Design Academy, part of DMCC, HRD Antwerp will expand its diamond and jewellery education programmes in the emirate.
