Memories often leave a lasting imprint, and a family trip of to Africa 15 years ago inspired Anmol Jewellers’ GAJA collection, unveiled the high-end retail brand last evening at their newly done up boutique.
Lord Ganesha, revered as the remover of obstacles, is celebrated for his elephant head, symbolizing wisdom, strength, and abundance.
It took 18 artisans and more than 2,700 hours to bring to life the GAJA collection that underscores the obvious connection between Lord Ganesha and elephants. Crafted in gold, the 3D contours of the face, ears, tusks, and trunk have been meticulously designed to illustrate the majestic elephants. The delicate trunks are adorned with brilliant-cut diamonds, symbolizing richness, purity, and strength.
The enriching narrative comes through in the bespoke luxury pieces such as the Grandeur of Elephants Gold Necklace Set, Regal Elephant Ruby Earrings, Signature Elephant Tie Pin, Antique Elephant Emerald Earrings, among others.
The juxtaposition of the elephant’s strength with its enduring ability to care, its enormous size symbolising abundance paired with its ability to display pure empathy, struck a chord with the Anmol brand. “A family trip to Africa 15 years ago cemented a core memory for us and our association with elephants. My dad and I even share a tattoo together depicting the bond between a parent elephant and its baby on our wrists. We truly embrace the aura of elephants at Anmol,” remarks Trisha Datwani Anand.
Immortalising the collection to honour memories of the African trip, Anmol’s GAJA collection is a medium to convey not just beauty but the very essence of what these stately elephants stand for.
“GAJA by Anmol was created keeping in mind the deep emotive value it holds for the brand. It’s not only artistic and royal but we take immense inspiration from Lord Ganesha and his association with elephants that’s believed to bring in good fortune and abundance to the one who embodies it. Every big occasion in our life is blessed by Lord Ganesha, and that is what we have tried to achieve with GAJA,” explained Ishu Datwani, Founder of Anmol Jewellers.
A portion of the sales proceeds from the GAJA collection will be donated to an NGO dedicated to the conservation of endangered elephants.
