De Beers has appointed Joy Roman as its new Executive Head of Human Resources, effective from 22nd March. She will succeed Ann Cormack, who is leaving the company to pursue new opportunities outside the business.
Roman was most recently Chief Human Resources Officer for Toll Brothers, a Fortune 500 luxury home builder focused on the US market. Before joining Toll Brothers, Roman spent 10 years at 3M where she worked in a variety of Human Resources and Strategy roles across the United States and Asia. Prior to 3M, she was a management consultant at McKinsey & Company. She holds an MBA from Yale and a BA from the University of Wisconsin at Madison.
