With a strong focus on PVD technology and bespoke fabrication, Sandeep Gupta, Founder of Hyderabad-based Upcoat PVD makes its debut at IGJME, offering jewellery retailers a sophisticated, made-in-India alternative to imported display and interior solutions.
As jewellery retail spaces evolve into immersive brand environments, the materials that shape these spaces are becoming as important as the jewels themselves. At IGJME, Upcoat PVD steps into the spotlight for the first time, presenting advanced surface technologies and fully customised interior solutions designed specifically for luxury retail.
Tell us something about your company.
Upcoat PVD is based in Hyderabad, Telangana, and is led by me after more than 25 years of experience across the manufacturing and retail industries. We are a specialised company focused on Physical Vapour Deposition (PVD) coating, along with fabrication and end-to-end interior solutions. Our strength lies in combining technology, design and execution under one roof.
We offer high-quality PVD coatings that significantly enhance surface durability, corrosion resistance and aesthetic appeal. Alongside this, we have strong fabrication capabilities, including custom stainless-steel furniture, precision metal cutting for intricate architectural elements, and an integrated wooden furniture manufacturing unit. This allows us to deliver complete, finished products rather than fragmented services.

What are the core strengths of Upcoat PVD?
Our biggest strengths are our experienced team, consistent high-quality finishes and our ability to provide end-to-end services. From concept and design support to fabrication, coating and final delivery, we act as a comprehensive partner. Everything we create is designed and manufactured in India, with strict quality control at every stage.
Our product range includes signature jewellery display counters, designer PVD partitions, fully customisable interior solutions and PVD railings. We specialise in premium finishes such as champagne, gold, rose gold and antique bronze, available in matte, glossy and hairbrush textures—finishes that are increasingly in demand in luxury retail.
Is this your first time exhibiting at IGJME?
Yes. The idea to participate seriously took shape when a relative, who has been exhibiting at IIJS for over five years, experienced our products first-hand. He immediately connected us with the IIJS team, and that led to our debut here.
What are your expectations from the event?
Visitors come to IIJS primarily to look at jewellery, but I believe they should also experience products that enhance the overall showroom environment. Jewellery is a status symbol, and the space it is displayed in should reflect that status. We expect strong engagement from both exhibitors and visitors who want to elevate their showroom aesthetics while strengthening their brand identity. For us, this is about visibility, dialogue and showcasing what is now possible with Indian manufacturing.
What trends and innovations are you showcasing this year?
PVD is an advanced vacuum coating process that deposits ultra-thin, highly durable metallic or ceramic layers onto surfaces. We showcased a new generation of luxury jewellery display counters, PVD partitions and architectural interior elements that bring global design sensibilities to Indian retail spaces.
We offer a powerful alternative to imported display counters and traditional carpenter-made wooden units. Our solutions are fully customisable in size, design and colour, align seamlessly with a brand’s identity, offer faster delivery timelines and ensure long-term durability. Through Upcoat PVD, we want to show that world-class showroom interiors can be proudly designed and manufactured in India.
