G7 Delegation Led by Brad Brooks-Rubin On Three-Day Visit to Mumbai and Surat

A high-powered G7 delegation, led by Brad Brooks-Rubin (centre), Senior Advisor at the U.S. Department of State, USA, visited the GJEPC’s Mumbai head office on 27th September during the first leg of a pivotal three-day visit. The delegation’s main agenda is to discuss the potential impact of tighter G7 sanctions on Russian diamonds.

From 27th to 29th September, the delegation will engage in strategic deliberations with key stakeholders in the Indian gem and jewellery sector.

The delegation comprises distinguished members from G7 nations, each contributing a wealth of knowledge and experience to the discussions. It includes Claes Gunnar Olof Hallberg, Policy Officer DG Trade – Industry, Goods, Energy, Customs, Sweden (EU); Skander Nasra, Diplomatic Advisor and Sherpa for Europe from Belgium; Kilian Kunibert K De Saeger, a renowned Diamond Expert from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Belgium; William David Block, Treasury Attache from the U.S. Department of Treasury at the U.S. Embassy in New Delhi; Elizabeth Orlando, Economic & Commercial Affairs Officer from the USA Consulate in Mumbai; Trisha Chilimbi, Economic Specialist from the USA Consulate in Mumbai; and Mayu Arimoto from the Embassy of Japan in Delhi.
