GJEPC’s Delhi Regional Office organised a seminar on “Growing Your Jewellery Business & Exports – Gold Procurement, Standards & Govt. Supports” on 21 September 2026 in Gurugram, Haryana, with a focus on export opportunities under the Government’s Export Promotion Mission (EPM), gold procurement, standards and industry support. More than 60 jewellers and industry representatives attended.
Antarpal Singh Sawhney, Regional Chairman – North, GJEPC, urged local jewellers and MSMEs to join GJEPC, explore export markets and leverage the Council’s initiatives and services. Mukesh Sharma, Head – Business Development (North India), IIBX, explained bullion procurement through IIBX. He noted that GJEPC RCMC holders qualify as “Qualified Jewellers” and highlighted the removal of the earlier ₹15 crore minimum net-worth requirement for eligible participants.
R.S. Virk, Founder, Modern Business Equipments & Services Pvt. Ltd. (Spectrum), discussed technology and machinery for improving efficiency, precision and competitiveness. Ajay Sareen, Manager, ECGC, outlined export credit insurance and risk-protection facilities, while Nitish Gulia, Marketing, Department of Posts, explained Dak Niryat Kendra (DNK) services for MSMEs and small exporters.
Ashutosh Srivastava outlined GJEPC initiatives and the facilities offered by IIGJ Lab and IIGJ Delhi. The seminar concluded with a Q&A session and a Vote of Thanks by Amit Jindal, President, Gurugram Jewellers Association, followed by a networking dinner.
