A seminar on various schemes for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the gems and jewellery sector was held in Jaipur on 18th November 2023. The seminar was organised jointly by the Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) and the National Gems and Jewellery Council of India (NGJCI), and was chaired by Ms. Mercy Epao, Joint Secretary, Ministry of MSME, Government of India.

The seminar aimed to create awareness and educate the members of the gems and jewellery industry about the benefits and procedures of availing MSME schemes. Shri Pradeep Ojha, Joint Director, MSME-DI, Jaipur, gave a presentation on the various schemes, such as the Participation in International Exhibitions (PMS) scheme, the International Cooperation (IC) scheme, the Credit Guarantee Fund Trust for Micro and Small Enterprises (CGTMSE) scheme, and the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) scheme.
