GJEPC’s 5th Rough Gemstone Sourcing Show Kicks Off In Jaipur

The 5th edition of the India Rough Gemstone Sourcing Show (IRGSS), organised by GJEPC, was inaugurated in Jaipur on 15th March by Rahul Nangare, Commissioner of Customs, Jaipur. The three-week-long exhibition ends on 2nd April. It features an assortment of rough emeralds displayed by the Gemfields-owned Kagem Mining Company Limited, Zamiba.

Colin Shah, Chairman, GJEPC said, “I am happy that we are organising the 5th India Rough Gemstones Sourcing Show, ensuring there is constant supply of good quality gemstones for our sector. We will be happy to organise more such exhibitions for the companies interested, as we would like to connect with mining companies and countries to directly source rough gemstones.”

The opening ceremony was attended by several dignitaries including Anupama Saksena, Asst. Commissioner of Customs (FPO, Tech. & Adjudication); Dr. Parul Singhal, Dy. Commissioner of Customs (ACC and JGE); J.P. Meena, Adl. Commissioner of Customs; Rahul Nangare, Commissioner of Customs; B.N. Gupta Convener Synthetic Stones, Costume Fashion Jewellery and Sales to Foreign Tourists; Adrian Banks, Director, Gemfields Group; Gopal Kumar, Director, Gemfields India Pvt. Ltd.; Ram Babu Gupta, Convener, Silver Jewellery; Sanjay Kala, Member Regional Committee & Domestic Exhibitions Committee; Regional Director, Jaipur, Sanjay Singh; and Deputy Director of Exhibitions, Nitin Khandelwal.
