The GJEPC’s Surat regional office recently organised its 5th monthly trade meeting aimed at enhancing Gujarat’s gem and jewellery exports. Vijay Mangukiya, Regional Chairman – Gujarat, GJEPC, highlighted key sector insights and pledged support towards achieving export targets.
During the meeting, Manoj Bhomia, Senior Executive, GJEPC, presented vital export data and discussed emerging markets. Despite a marginal decline in exports, potential growth avenues were identified. Attendees gained valuable insights into leading export destinations, notably the UK and UAE.
Members expressed gratitude towards the Regional Chairman and the Regional Office for their efforts in addressing the SEZ-DTA issue, which has been a concern in the sector.
With over 65 participants in attendance, queries regarding KYC processes and exports were addressed by Rajat Wani, Asst. Director – Surat, GJEPC, providing clarity on crucial aspects of the trade.
