The International Institute of Gemology (IIG) has entered into a strategic partnership with Polygon, a North America-based B2B trade network for the gem and jewellery industry, to provide students, alumni and Indian manufacturers with greater access to international markets and professional networks.
Under the collaboration, IIG’s active students and alumni will receive exclusive introductory rates on Polygon membership, enabling them to connect with a vetted, commission-free network of retailers, dealers and wholesalers across North America. The two organisations will also jointly develop market insights, sourcing guides and webinars to provide practical exposure to global trade and manufacturing practices.
The partnership will also support Indian manufacturers by introducing qualified suppliers to Polygon for onboarding and business development opportunities, helping them strengthen their presence in the North American market.
Rahul Desai, Director, IIG, said: “Our partnership with Polygon connects our community to an established international network, opens doors for Indian manufacturers, and gives our students a clearer view of the global industry they are preparing to enter.”
Sean Lemire, General Director of Polygon, added: “India is one of the most important sourcing and manufacturing hubs in the global jewellery trade, and IIG sits at the centre of its gemmological education community. This partnership gives our members a more direct line into that ecosystem, and gives IIG’s network access to a trusted, professional marketplace built over four decades.”
