GJEPC, in association with Bharat Diamond Bourse (BDB), hosted a farewell dinner in honour of Frank Geerkens, Consul General of Belgium in Mumbai, recognising his contribution to strengthening ties between Belgium and India’s gem and jewellery industry.
The programme was led by Kirit Bhansali, Chairman, GJEPC; Shaunak Parikh, Vice Chairman, GJEPC; Anoop Mehta, President, BDB; and Mehul Shah, Vice President, BDB, who joined industry leaders in extending their appreciation and best wishes to Geerkens for the future.
Held at the Amadeo by Oberoi, NMACC, Jio World Centre, Mumbai, the evening brought together leading members of the trade, diplomats and industry stakeholders to celebrate Geerkens’ tenure and acknowledge his support for the long-standing partnership between the two countries, particularly in the diamond sector.
Guests reflected on Geerkens’ engagement with the Indian diamond industry and his role in deepening commercial and institutional cooperation between India and Belgium, two of the world’s most important diamond trading centres.
