The Jewelers Circle, a global online trade-only gem & jewellery marketplace, and Bahrain Institute for Pearls & Gemstones (Danat) a gemmological laboratory, education and research centre, announced a new partnership dedicated to advancing the sourcing and education of natural pearls within the global industry.
Jewelers Circle subscribers will receive free access to Danat’s online seminars ‘Pearl Principles’ as well as free shipping to Bahrain for items to be tested and certified at Danat. They will also provide an exclusive special rate on the Pearl Program Package which includes introductions to the pearling families in Bahrain. The partnership will provide DANAT members an extended free exhibitor Jewelers Circle subscription. In addition, the two organisations will collaborate to provide co-branded education, digital content, newsletters, webinars, events and more.
Marianne Fisher, Co-Founder and Managing Director of the Jewelers Circle, said, “With the increase in consumer demand for pearls, the Jewelers Circle knew it was vital for our subscribers to align with the most respected institution and authority on the natural pearl industry, as well as expand our reach within the Middle East markets.”
Noora Jamsheer, Chief Executive Officer of Danat, added: “Bahrain’s relationship with natural pearls dates back many centuries. Danat has drawn its industry expertise from the knowledge passed on by generations and has successfully established itself as a credible authority in the pearl testing domain.”
