Ukraine Govt. Agency Removes SRK From Its List Of International War Sponsors

Ukraine’s National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP) has removed one of the world’s largest diamond companies, Shree Ramkrishna Exports (SRK), from its list of international sponsors of war.

NACP said that SRK issued an official statement stating that it will comply with its international obligations and will not cooperate with Russian-sanctioned entities. In addition, the company declared its support for the current and future initiatives of the G7 countries to restrict the handling of Russian diamonds and refrain from purchasing them.

Oleksandr Novikov, Head of the NACP, said, “The refusal of companies such as SRK to purchase Russian diamonds is a contribution not only to peace on the European continent but, above all, to the national security of India itself. The long-awaited decision of the G7, which we hope will be made soon, will be a historic milestone for the diamond industry.”

Dr. Nirav Mandir, Chief Human Capital Officer (CHCO), SRK said, “We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the NACP for their constructive assessment, which has led to the removal of our company from the list of war sponsors. Thank you for your support. We at SRK emphasise our dedication to peace and harmony. We do not endorse or support any form of war or conflict anywhere in the world. Our business ethos is grounded in promoting goodwill, nurturing positive relationships, and upholding the highest standards of corporate and social responsibility.”

NACP said it welcomed SRK’s decision and would monitor the fulfilment of the commitments undertaken by the company.
