Visitors were treated to the splendours of nature by the famed Italian luxury jewellery brand, Buccellati, a high-end designer maison, which unveiled ‘Naturalia’, an exhibition paying lyrical homage to Mother Nature, at the Milan Design Week 2025. The showcase was open to the public from April 8 to 13 in Piazza Tomasi di Lampedusa.

Founded by Mario Buccellati in the early 20th century, the brand is renowned for its intricate gold and silver work, distinguished by masterful engraving techniques and elegant, vintage-inspired designs.

In collaboration with Balich Wonder Studio and Berlin’s botanical design house Studio Mary Lennox, Buccellati transformed three natural landscapes—forest, mountain, and sea—into a multisensory experience. Through digital installations, evocative soundscapes, and carefully curated botanical displays, ‘Naturalia’ blended sight, sound, and scent to create a dreamlike journey.

The exhibition wove Buccellati’s traditional silversmithing with innovative design, showcasing the maison’s silver collections—Furry, Nature, and Marina—which distinctly captured the textures of fur, feathers, and marine life.

Nicolas Luchsinger, CEO of Buccellati, noted: “Through the presentation of our decorative collections, interpreted by some of the most influential creative voices in contemporary design, we affirm the timeless relevance of Buccellati creations. ‘Naturalia’ marks both a continuation of our creative journey with Balich Wonder Studio and a promising new partnership with Studio Mary Lennox.”

Visitors were transported through a lush forest where silver squirrels and deer emerged from verdant foliage, illuminated by dynamic light. The journey continued to rugged mountain peaks, where majestic eagles symbolised resilience, and concluded in an oceanic realm, where silver sea creatures shimmered amid coral reefs, accompanied by the rhythmic pulse of underwater life. Drawing inspiration from Magritte’s surreal skies and Dürer’s landscapes, the installation created a poetic dialogue between heritage and imagination.

“Buccellati’s craftsmanship is revealed in its purest form,” notes the Buccellati family. “These creations are not only works of high artistry but also symbols of our dedication to excellence and the beauty of the natural world.”

With ‘Naturalia’, Buccellati doesn’t just display its creations — it animates them, turning silver into a living celebration of nature’s magic and human ingenuity.
