GJEPC Backs Proposed Jewellery Park in Meerut

GJEPC has pledged full technical and industry support for the proposed Jewellery Park in Meerut, following a presentation session held on 17 June 2026. Designed by Skyline Architects, the project drew more than 150 industry stakeholders and officials from the Directorate of Industries and the Meerut Development Authority (MDA).

The event was attended by Dr. Laxmikant Bajpai, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha); Sanjay Meena, IAS, Vice Chairman, MDA; Amaresh Kumar Pandey, Deputy Commissioner of Industries, District Industries Centre; Pradeep Kumar Agrawal, Chairman, Meerut Bullion Traders Association (MBTA); Yogesh Singhal, President, All India Bullion and Jewellers Association; Ravi Prakash Agrawal, Patron, MBTA; and Vijay Anand Agrawal, General Secretary, MBTA.

Speakers highlighted the vision of transforming Meerut into a globally recognised gold manufacturing hub. Officials from the MDA and Directorate of Industries outlined the proposed layout, allotment process and infrastructure plans for the factory-plotted complex, while industry leaders underscored its potential to boost employment, support artisans and expand exports.

Representing GJEPC, Regional Director – North, Ashutosh Srivastava assured stakeholders of the Council’s continued support through technical guidance and capacity building. Responding to strong demand from local businesses, he announced that GJEPC would organise a dedicated physical export training programme in Meerut. He also invited the local trade to visit IIJS Premiere in Mumbai to gain exposure to international trends and global trading benchmarks.
