AI and Automation: Transforming Jewellery Production

Intriguity was established in the year 2004 by Vikrant Rawa with a vision to implement high-technology solutions for manufacturing and technology companies in India. In 2008, the Mumbai-based firm was appointed as value-added resellers for Solidscape 3D Printers’ Indian region. Through our partnership, we successfully implemented their technology in many Indian companies, particularly in the jewellery segment. Rawa explains why Intriguity chose to be a vendor at IGJME Signature 2025.

Tell us about the new machinery or technology Intriguity is showcasing at IGJME Signature this year?

Since 2013, we have been working closely with the jewellery industry in India, focusing on CAD/CAM technologies and E-commerce solutions. This year, at IIJS Signature, we were excited to unveil several innovative products that will take jewellery photography and CAD design to the next level.

One of our highlights is the Pro Version of Alphashot Micro V2, India’s leading jewellery photo automation studio. Equipped with LED lighted doors, this advanced system simplifies the photography process, ensuring consistent, high-quality images with minimal effort. Additionally, we’re introducing the Alphashot Pro G2, a new AI-powered photo booth. This cutting-edge system features intelligent light adjustment, making it easier for users to capture the perfect shot every time, regardless of lighting conditions.

In the CAD space, we launched Rhino Artisan in India. This powerful Rhino-based jewellery CAD plug-in is packed with tools designed to speed up workflows and boost productivity for CAD designers. Whether it’s streamlining intricate designs or enhancing detail accuracy, Rhino Artisan helps users bring their creative visions to life more efficiently.

How was the response to this show?

IIJS has consistently been a great experience for us year after year. While the event started off a bit slow this time, we noticed a steady increase in foot traffic from Day 2 onward, and we were pleased with the turnout. Most importantly, the IIJS Signature show attracts the right audience for our offerings—jewellers focused on high-end or couture jewellery, who can truly benefit from our solutions for their businesses.

How does your equipment enhance productivity or reduce production costs for jewellers?

Our photo automation solutions streamline the entire jewellery photography process, allowing jewellers who once struggled with flash lighting and relying on expert photographers to achieve the perfect results with just a click of a button. Meanwhile, our CAD software enhances both quality and productivity, particularly for intricate shapes and studded jewellery. It also helps reduce costs by delivering higher output within the same fixed CAD hours, ultimately improving the bottom line.

What is your outlook for 2025?

In 2025, we introduced even more innovative solutions, including a 3D web configurator designed to provide a comprehensive database of cad models for lab-grown diamond jewellery. This tool can be seamlessly embedded on their websites, enabling them to showcase hundreds of standard designs in a 360-degree interactive format. With the growing demand for lab-grown diamonds, this will allow jewellers to attract orders for designs that were previously difficult to offer online.

Additionally, we plan to enhance our photo automation solutions by introducing new accessories that will make jewellery photography even easier. As we look ahead, we remain hopeful that 2025 will bring positive growth for the global economy, and that India will continue its upward trajectory, with the gems and jewellery industry leading the charge.
