GNS Jewellery: Breaking The Mould

BHAVESH GORASIYA, Founder, GNS Jewellery, says that they are here to disrupt the Indian market, and create a unique space for itself. Gorasiya believes that the true essence of retailing jewellery lies not just in its intrinsic value of metals and gems, but in the artistry of the design and level of craftsmanship. This emphasis he believes will set them apart from the competition and create a new paradigm for success in the Indian jewellery industry.

We would like to know more about your company.

GNS was founded in August 2015, following a decade-long journey of honing our craft. We started small by manufacturing in Hong Kong, but we swiftly achieved success, prompting us to scaled up our operations and relocate to India in less than 18 months. Today GNS has two factories in Surat and Mumbai, and we cater to clients in the Middle East, Asia, Europe, and the US.

At GNS, client satisfaction is at the core of our values. As a result, our creations are renowned for their unparalleled quality and genuineness, earning us a distinguished reputation in the industry.

How do you perceive the current market scenario for the jewellery industry?

More than 65% of the Indian population is young, this is a golden period for businesses to boom as youngsters have the spending power. We as a brand see it as a huge opportunity.

How many collections do you bring out in a year?

At GNS Jewellery we regularly launch new collections every few months. These collections are conceived, designed and manufactured in our design studio and a state-of-the-art factory manned by a team of able designers and craftsmen.

Our unique selling proposition (USP) is all about a harmonious blend of fine finish, minimalistic aesthetics, and a truly classy design language. We take immense pride in our ability to create jewellery that exudes elegance and sophistication in every detail. As we continue to leverage this strength, we believe it will work to our advantage in the Indian jewellery industry. The Indian market is known for its discerning clientele with a penchant for craftsmanship and design.

What kinds of crafts or technical innovations are you promoting or employing through your collections?

At GNS, we explore and innovate at multiple levels – our R&D team has successfully created a unique setting that enhances the look and size of diamonds in tennis bracelets by up to 30%.  We have developed the “U prong” setting which helps in making the diamonds look bigger as compared to traditional prong setting. We also use the patented technology of “Dancing Diamonds” in our collections.

Anything else you may wish to add.

We are an ambitious brand, but our ambitions are backed by good market research and trend forecasts. We want to establish firmly in the Indian market because our products are tried and tested internationally and are very well received. With the GenZ and Millennials ruling the market trends, we believe that there is a space for a “good quality product” with innovative designs, which can fetch a small premium from consumers.
