Mubri Hosts Successful BSM Brasil 2024 In São Paulo

The Buyer Seller Meeting (BSM) Brasil 2024, that was organised by Mubri International Jewelers Association, concluded its second edition with resounding success, showcasing the growing strength and influence of Latin America in the global marketplace. The event, held on 14th and 15th May, witnessed a significant increase in participation, reflecting its growing importance.

The two-day event saw a diverse array of Brazilian and South American companies engaged with leading international manufacturers of diamonds, gold, silver jewellery, and gold bars from India, the USA, Belgium, Turkey, and Hong Kong.

BSM Brasil ensures that exhibitors and buyers are matched effectively, maximising productivity and minimising time wastage. The event more than doubled the number of exhibitors within just nine months between its first and second editions.

Mubri’s influence spans 18 chapters with over 2,500 members, including manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers, and independent jewellers. This year, BSM Brasil also garnered support from the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) of India and the Diamond Dealers Club (DDC).

Participants included industry giants such as Kiran Gems, UniDesign, La Joya, S. Vinodkumar, Shivam Jewels, Shree Ramkrishna Exports, Star Rays NY, Sheetal Group, Sutra Jewels, Hari Krishna Exports, Dharmanandan Diamonds, SDS Diamonds, Nadir Gold, ACPL Exports, J.B. and Brothers, Patdiam, Dianco, Aspire Design, ALTR, Arjiv Exports, Hari Dharshan and Shree Ramdoot Gems.

Visiting buyers hailed not only from Brazil but also from Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Peru, and Colombia – they represented large companies such as Vivara, Monte Carlo, Monte Cristo, Sauer, Casa das Aliancas, Benefatto and Delamour among others, further solidifying BSM Brasil’s role in enhancing the South American region’s access to quality products.

Ali Pastorini, President of Mubri, said, “We are a group that likes to deliver the best results and we work constantly to make this happen, but I was surprised by the immediate support of several large South American companies that are willing to make BSM Brasil an important part of the world calendar making Sao Paulo city as the main hub in Latin America with the rest of the world.”

The event was attended by the Consul General of India in Brazil, Ms. Manisha Swami, who personally congratulated the work of Ali Pastorini and the President of the Mubri Brasil chapter, Dione de Lima and its rapid growth in less than a year. The next edition of BSM Brasil is scheduled to be held in May 2025 in Sào Paulo, for which registrations will open in the second half of 2024.
