JCK 2023 Attendance Surpasses Pre-Pandemic Levels

JCK has once again surpassed expectations with its highly successful 2023 edition. The event, held at The Venetian and The Venetian Expo in Las Vegas from 2-5 June, showcased a sold-out show floor and witnessed an increase in attendance compared to the previous year, surpassing even pre-pandemic 2019 levels. The energy, enthusiasm, and positivity among jewellery industry exhibitors and attendees were palpable throughout the week, the show organiser Reed Exhibitions (RX) said in a release.

Bringing together over 30,000 professionals from various sectors of the jewellery industry, JCK and Luxury provided a platform for product sourcing, education, and networking. With a remarkable increase of 8% in attendance from 2022, a total of 18,000 attendees from over 100 countries engaged in business transactions with more than 1,900 exhibiting companies. The event spanned across 430,000 net square feet and featured over 20 distinct show floor neighbourhoods, further solidifying JCK’s position as the industry’s premier gathering. Luxury welcomed retailers from 31st May to 5th June and was open exclusively to invited retailers on 31st May and 1st June.

Sarin Bachmann, Group Vice President of the RX jewellery portfolio, expressed her excitement about the outstanding show, stating, “It was another incredibly energetic and successful year for JCK. The increased attendance coupled with new show branding, engaging activations, innovative experiences, and enhanced education and networking received overwhelmingly positive feedback from both attendees and exhibitors. Our goal was to create an event that everyone looks forward to, in addition to needing to attend for your business, and we accomplished that and more.”

JCK set a strong focus on innovation, serving as the leading platform for showcasing cutting-edge technology and the future of jewellery and retail. The spirit of innovation permeated throughout the show floor, events, and various elements of the JCK experience. With more activations and an enhanced Innovation Hub area, JCK highlighted industry trends and advancements under the overarching theme: innovation lives at JCK.

Exhibitors and attendees alike praised the vibrant atmosphere and positive outlook of JCK 2023. Morgan Waters, Executive Director of Marketing Services & Events at Stuller, commented, “The energy at JCK 2023 was the best we’ve felt in years. Outlook was positive and our customers were optimistic about the rest of the year. It was wonderful to reconnect with so many of our friends and customers in the industry.”

John Carter of Jack Lewis Jewelers echoed the sentiment, stating, “I cannot imagine a better way to kick off show week than with JCK and Luxury! The vibe at JCK is always fun, upbeat, and optimistic, and sets the tone for the rest of the week. I would never miss it.”

Lauren Kaminsky Goldman of ByGOLDGIRL emphasised the importance of JCK, saying, “JCK and Luxury are a must-see event because I love to touch base with the designers and vendors that I have been buying from throughout the year. It’s great face-time, it’s a time to actually sit down with them, see what they have available, browse the show floor, and there’s nothing more that I love than just to aimlessly walk and see what’s new, what catches my eye, what’s innovative, what are people gravitating towards, and most importantly, see the vendors that I love and want to support.”

The JCK Talks education program returned with its most comprehensive line-up to date, offering over 60 sessions covering Hot Topics, Trends, Marketing, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Sustainability, Retail Experiences, and Innovation.

JCK also introduced the dedicated “Social Stage” this year, where digital strategists, content creators, and influencers shared actionable tips and tricks for content creation, social media engagement, and standing out on social platforms.

Additionally, JCK and Luxury hosted keynote speakers, including Daniel “Rudy” Ruettiger and Dominique Dawes at Luxury, and Johnny Cupcakes at JCK, who delivered inspiring sessions on customer obsession and creating memorable experiences.

The dates for JCK 2024 were revealed as 31st May to 3rd June, with the Hong Kong pavilion opening on 30th May in the Level 1 Ballrooms, and GEMS featuring AGTA and JCK Talks also opening on 30th May.
